I posted a video of a young 23 year old transwoman's descent into right wing extremism where she recanted and admitted that she had tried to be loved by the type of people who normally would hate her. This is exactly what happened to a character like Blaire White.
By siding with people who definitely would not accept you unless you find some common ground, Blaire gets to look down on others to be spared the avalanche of toxicity which would normally come her way. It is what Dave Rubin and Candace Owens also do in the ranks of the right wing with the former being gay and the latter black. Some people are odd that way in that rather than develop a backbone to defend against hate, they align themselves with it so they are not pointed at and become the token accepted one.
Granted, it is far from easy to stand up against hate and some even feel good for a time to contribute their own share of it except after a while you can no longer be spared how badly this makes you feel. Reveling in hatred eats away at you and you are only one step away from being devoured by your own group.
That young transwoman seems to have understood this and her own transition at age 15 gives her an advantage she perhaps cannot properly appreciate; something her growth in maturity over time will undoubtedly take care of.
