Dysphoric thoughts

The most important aspect in understanding ourselves is knowing what drives our actions. The impetus for all behaviour can be found in the psyche sometimes very deeply in fact. Therefore regardless of how we identify, that source needs to be found if we are to find peace.

How much of what we do is mandatory versus elective is a good place to start. Are we ritualistic and repetitive? Are there signs of compulsiveness? These all need investigating if we want to find an identity we can feel comfortable in saying accurately portrays us.

Social stigma is a powerful thing and it can affect the way we see ourselves. But we need to remove it before being able to accurately assess what is lying beneath the surface. If we are to reduce cycles of depression and anxiety we need to find the root cause so we can feel at ease with who we are.

What I find is that Dr Z tends to ask the right questions and people like her were not on YouTube when I started researching this topic. In fact, there was no YouTube...
