One of the reasons I have so much conviction today on this subject matter is that you will be hard pressed to find someone who resisted being trans with such committed ferocity. Not only did I do my homework by plunging into the literature, but I reflected until I exhausted myself. That there was nowhere to run became an inevitable conclusion.
If you are also transgender and have tried to resist it, you may have reached the same conclusion only hopefully much sooner than I did. There will be no choice in the matter other than how you respond to it as it is neither a lifestyle or a choice. It simply is. It has also been by far the challenge of my lifetime. If you examine your history the signs will be there. I couldn't have been encouraged as any deeply religious parents both born in the mid 1930's couldn't possibly have done. You are born that way or you aren't.
We should be careful to not confuse elective gender variance with an issue that ostensibly deals with identity and if you are fortunate enough to not suffer gender dysphoria and can rejoice in your expression, consider yourself deeply fortunate. Because dysphoria can be the devil incarnate if not dealt with in some manner as eventually you will simply run out of both distractions and excuses.
And if I am happy today, it's because I finally and properly learned my lesson.
