If I could give money to everyone who asks me I would. Things are getting worse out there everyday as the errors of global economic decisions see their chickens come home to roost. Wealth inequality at this level of magnitude didn't get here by accident and at this point is like a ticking time bomb.
If we focused more on societal well-being as a whole we'd all be better off. The erroneous thinking that neoliberalism would fix inequality as well as social ills is steeped in willful ignorance.Right wing blowhards will wrap up their defense of how we got here while only thinking about their own welfare. The problem is that when society caves in around you, you are faced with a country that isn't nearly as pleasant to live in unless you think South Africa and its gated and barb wired style of living is an ideal a model for you. Johannesburg was an eye opener for me.
The right wing has picked up strawman cultural issues as distraction against the reality that their policies were a massive failure. It is why the GOP in the US offers nothing than populist rhetoric steeped in cultural outrage to distract a base who most suffers from their neglect.
