Sapolsky explains things almost as if he were a trans person, himself. It's pretty close to how I have tried to explain my own situation, as the transgender woman I am, anyway. I actually raised my hand to be a volunteer for study, as I am one who has transitioned without the aid of hormones or surgery of any kind (not that it is what I wanted; just the way my cards were dealt). It's amazing to me, though, how detractors don't (or won't) consider neurological biology to even be a thing. Maybe it's because they don't have much of a brain to begin with, themselves?
