Every transgender person has a breaking point at which they need to do something they are afraid to. It may be that first coming out to family or deciding to transition in spite of the possible rejection which may come your way.
I was always a hesitant passenger on this journey in that I needed to reach a new breaking point each time before moving forward. This could be viewed as being a glutton for punishment but at least I knew that each step has been calculated and measured and not based on a whim.Maybe it's a trait of older transgender people to resist so much and end up with a series of little breaking points along the way.
