A flawed model

When Ray Blanchard was cookng up his pseudoscience in the 1980's the world was a very different place. Hardly anyone who valued their existence came out except for androphilic transsexuals who after changing name and marker skipped town and proceeded to live in stealth if they knew what was good for them.

Fast forward to 2024 and to say the model has aged very poorly is an understatement. Both androphilics and gynephilics are transitioning young and therefore the previous stereotype of burly middle aged man with stubble in a dress is taking a beating. This is what happens when your theorizing is deeply flawed and thus loses universality. In fact many gynephilics are even more attractive and undetectable from cis females than their androphilic counterparts. Never mind that sexuality sometimes even shifts.

To make matters worse, transgender men are everywhere now which is starting to make Harry Benjanin look positively prophetic with his idea of a graded axis applicable to both sexes. All the while right wingers and gender criticals still rub their hands in glee selling AGP as a sure thing as GenZ simply rolls its eyes collectively.

The reality is that sexuality cannot help but be impacted through the mere fact that something as marking and relevant as gender dysphoria is present. A journey into adolescence is sufficiently confusing without it and adding the desire to be another sex is just another level of dizzying.

Oh well, back to the drawing board for you Ray.

The hunt for red October

"You're not a woman!" says the transphobe vociferously to which I say okay and stop there. I personally do not argue for it.  ...
