Motivations

I talk often about motivations for expressing gender variance and here is an example of a particular strain. Vlad is a young man who does this exceedingly well and puts tremendous effort into his presentation under the premise of fooling others. The shtick is to have those moments where he suddenly lowers the voice and shocks people by revealing that he is indeed not a real woman. 

He doesn't just do the occasional video. He does an awful lot of them. 

My spider senses were tingling and I came to some conclusions about the psychology which might be involved. As a young man who may have some need for feminine expression there is nothing safer than doing so under the cover of comedic subterfuge. "Me enjoy wearing the dress? No dude I just do this for views" he might say to us. But that wouldn't quite ring true for me. 

Packaging up the internal "woman" under a thin veneer of machismo works well as a vehicle to not be unduly questioned by his audience regarding his sexuality or gender identity. They may not be as keenly tuned to what may be going on here under the surface which is an outlet for expression which works for him and feels safe because deep down he is a "real man".

There is no harm here other the potential dangers he exposes himself to in his reveals but what there is underneath is very interesting psychology.
