Season 2 of Squid Game features a transgender character although the role is not played by a transgender actor.
In an interview with TVGuide.com published on December 17, the writer and director of the show (I'm watching it now) said that while he initially hoped to cast a transgender actor for the role, it was “near impossible” to find an out transgender performer in South Korea.
No kidding. North Korea would be even worse.
