We come to a point...

I was speaking with Jack Molay yesterday who I have been corresponding with since the mid 2000's. 

Our common interest has always been the science behind gender variance which became a goal as people trying to comprehend why they were gender dysphoric. We both approached the topic from an intellectual angle which greatly appealed to me.

I have gotten to know him a little and in particular since my retirement when we have taken to whattsapp calls. 

We are from the same generation and have each faced our share of challenges but it seems that things are coalescing for us both. You get to a place in your life when you begin to properly look after the self and abandon what society wants and expects of you. 

We know ourselves better and what we need which unsurprisingly is often in conflict with what we were first taught was true about life and our role within it.

We come to a point where we ask less questions and just live in the moment.
