Griffintown

Griffintown has exploded. While I was busy working in my basement finishing my career during the pandemic, this area continued to grow and even now still has a plethora of construction cranes working on new structures.

Nestled just south of downtown and bordering on the old city at its eastern flank, this used to be home to mostly end of the 19th century industrial factories as well as home to many poorer residents. Gentrification has brought residential towers, bistros, cafés and markets to a young and urban professional class.

The city of my youth is changing dramatically...
