Sophie Ottoway reminds me so much of David Reimer and John Money's tragic recommendation. Born male but surgically reassigned 2 days after birth due to a severe penile abnormality,  she only discovered this at age 22. Today at 37 she is well adjusted although wanting to get the word out.

Before watching this I was bracing for nasty anti-transgender rhetoric and plenty of hateful comments. Instead it was a lucid discussion on the topic of intervention through medical means to impact sex and gender presentation at any stage in a person's life.

Like she says "We are just a shell with a soul inside"
