Catch 22

The US Supreme Court is in a serious pickle. If you apply section 3 of the 14th amendment as you are legally bound to, the unhinged MAGA cult will put out the call for death threats. If you do not apply the clear text of the constitution and punt, whatever shreds of credibility this court has left are out the window. It's the perfect Catch 22 in a country where a significant portion of the electorate is deluded beyond any reasonable explanation lending credence to my thinking that many people walking around on this planet are beyond clueless.

If I were an American I wouldn't be enamored of Biden but would be far more concerned about keeping my nation out of the hands of white national zealots and far-right lunatics.

No matter what transpires, fireworks are no doubt soon to follow.
