Unique

Our lives are so unique that we are often hard pressed to find commonality with others. It's why I think it's best to find out who we are and then stay within that boundary while understanding that it is pointless to extend our experience beyond that.

The narratives of others have taught me that beyond the basic human traits we share, there are too many variables to permit predictability. In the past we tended to be obedient sheep and follow societal rules while secretly finding outlets for authenticity. What irks the right wing today is precisely the abdication of following along by many (especially the young). If you are too much your own person it perturbs those in power who count on the reliability of societal behaviour patterns.

I am my own person and have been for many years with the only remaining puzzle piece having been how to accommodate a key difference I was born with.
