Overlap

I chatted with a lovely young woman on the Montreal metro yesterday. Sometimes you start talking over something as simple as the next available seat which neither of us took as it was expediently jumped on by someone else.

People like human contact especially today when most are buried in their phones often with headsets on. She was an artist likely in her late 20's with a sweet and expressive face which seemed used to being ready with a smile. Some people are like this and I adore their ability to drop barriers.

When my stop arrived I almost would have wanted to stay on but then bid her goodbye as she gave me the most genuine of expressions.
