Alex is a young woman who helps out on Saturday mornings at the public market where I go for coffee. She is so discreet and pleasant and this particular morning we got to talking.
She is 28 years old and recently finished her studies in communications but she is struggling with getting herself established in life. She has school debt and she is forced to work this second job to keep up financially. I gave her some advice from my perspective about the ebbs and flows of life and how we all have some form of existential angst regardless of our age. The only advantage I have is that life experience provides perspective and a greater ability to prioritize problems. She listened intently and was so thankful. We ended up exchanging numbers.
It is my pleasure to help out young people in any way I can especially when they are as sweet and self-effacing as this young woman is.
