Blinded

Hatred can blind our ability to think logically. 

JK Rowling recently made a statement regarding policing transgender women in bathrooms saying that decent men wouldn't go in there. Thus whoever did would be doing so for some devious purpose and women would simply monitor them and take pictures they could then put on the internet. 

You can see how this is both abysmally stupid and dangerous. Your lesbian aunt suddenly ends up on a most wanted page for failing an inspection. 

There is no pragmatic way and no good reason to police anyone using a public restroom and should there be a security issue someone would inform the authorities responsible for the facility. 

Not long ago a tall Walmart female employee was followed into the ladies room by a customer who said she shouldn't be there and the resulting brouhaha got the employee terminated. 

Stupidity is often the result of the abandonment of basic common sense by people motivated with some result they want to see happen. They become blinded by their own goal into lapses of critical thinking. It is why you will see otherwise rational people gratuitously bathe in idiocy. 

Rowling has a psychological block in her head because she has trauma involving men. This blockage has had her invent her own logic involving transgender people to the point of becoming obsession. She probably doesn't see what the rest of us do regarding her pathology which is a shame. 

She might sleep a whole lot better if she addressed it.
