"Transgender women are men" trumpets the comment which reveals to me straight away they aren't a thinker.
The problem is that the term man carries a huge proportion of societal weight. Had they said transgender women start off biologically male or all fetuses start off female I would be more forgiving.
The problem is that many people don't think and hence nuance isn't a forte. The greys that this issue contains escape them completely because confirmation bias is much more important.
What defines a man and a woman are heavily subject to historical era and particular society. In one culture men nurturing children is expected whereas in others it is anathema. These are aspects having nothing to do with biology.
But the more dense gender criticals aren't interested in the interplay between sex and gender. They just like the catch phrases.
