A former Green Beret in Gaza had a 5 year old Palestinian boy who had walked 12 kms to get food come up to him. The former soldier gave him something to eat and he was so thankful that he clasped the man's face with bony emaciated hands and very earnestly said thank you in English.
The soldier told him "the world cares about you"
Then the boy heard rounds and ran only to be shot by IDF soldiers firing into a crowd and within moments he was dead.
