In what was ultimately a referendum on the Trump economy, Americans turned out in droves to repudiate it. Even people who still thought other countries pay US tariffs couldn't get past the reality of sticker shock at the pumps and at the grocery store.
Trumpism is effectively over even if the people who were drawn to its cruelty aren't going anywhere. They will exist forever so long as people populate this planet.
Billy going to school and coming back Sally was the lowest issue according to Americans despite it being constantly used as a campaign staple by a MAGA movement devoid of ideas.
It turns out that propaganda doesn't pay the bills in an economy that sees an increasing number of people outfit their cars as primary living quarters.
What remains now is to see whether Democrats learn a lesson and turn away from corporatist centrism which has seen the party soul hollowed out.
Fingers crossed but for now, well done!
